Cashback Realtors and Net Commission

Most cashback realtors will offer up to 50% of their net commission. The cash back percentage will typically vary according to the number of showings you do with your cashback realtor. The fewer showings you do, the more cash back you receive. However, it’s also important to understand how the agent’s net commission is calculated.

What is Net Commission?

The buying agent will usually receive between 2-2.5% of the sale price as a commission. This is the gross commission. Before they receive that money, though, most agents will have a certain amount deducted. The agent’s brokerage will probably take between 10-20%. Additionally, if the realtor is part of a team, there will probably be a contribution that the realtor has to make and this could be another 10-20%. As you can see, it’s important to understand what your cash back realtor’s net commission will be before you enter in to an agreement.
